Single events
Create a one-off race from one form, without a weekly timetable.
A single event is one race on one evening, for example "6 Hours of Spa". You fill in one form and bdr creates the race for you, with no weekly timetable to set up. This page explains the form and what to do after you submit it.
Create a single event
- On your community's page, select + New single event above the seasons list. If you have no seasons yet, select Single event.
- Fill in the form. See the table below.
- Select Create event.
bdr opens the event's page, which is a season page with one series and one race. Then:
- Check the race in the list. To change splits or entry rules, select Edit on the series. See Seasons and series.
- Select Publish season. Until then only your community's owners and admins can see the event, and nobody can sign up.
The form

| Servers | Machines running the host agent (yours first, then the platform's) or Servers I start by hand, with an API key. If your community has a registered machine, the first is selected for you. |
| Region | Only machines in this region can take the race. |
| Prize pool (cents, informational) | Stored with the event for information only. bdr does not collect or pay out prize money. |
Enter amounts in cents: 5000 is 50.00. If the platform accepts payments, an Entry fee (cents) field also appears.
What bdr sets for you
A single event uses the same rules as a season race, with these settings filled in:
- Up to 2 splits of 30 drivers. You can change both with Edit on the series, but raising them does not book more room on a machine for the race.
- Signups open 7 days before the start, or straight away if the start is sooner.
- Signups close and the race locks 60 seconds before the start.
- If fewer than 2 drivers signed up when the race locks, it is cancelled.
On your machines, the race books room for 2 × 30 = 60 drivers, from 5 minutes before the start until the sessions end plus 30 minutes. If no machine in the region has room at that time, the form shows an error. Pick another time, or change the region. See Machines.
To move the event to another time, select Edit on its series, change First race of the day and select Save. The calendar changes show the race at its new time; select Apply changes. If drivers had signed up, the race at the old time is cancelled rather than deleted, and they need to sign up again.
After the race
The event's page works like any season page. You can open signups early, lock the race, cancel it or upload a result file. See Seasons and series. When the event is over, select Finish.
